At 5E Ltd we offer courses in English (ESOL, Literacy and Numeracy), Information Technology (IT) for beginners, users and professionals, NVQs in a range of vocational areas skills. We also provide short accredited courses in crucial skills such as Health and Safety, First Aid and Food & Hygiene as well as workshops in interview skills, confidence and motivation building.
There are many benefits to be gained from taking part in our courses. One of them is an increased chance of getting a job. Improving your communication and English language skills will boost your confidence and help you present yourself in a better way to your prospective employer. Our other courses are designed to help you learn new skills or refresh old ones, making your skills relevant in the current job scenario.
You will not only find that all your existing benefits stay the same, but you will also be given an extra £10 a week towards travel expenses (check eligibility). You will also not be required to sign every 2 weeks at your local Jobcentre.
We will provide you with:
- An initial assessment, individual training plan and career guidance
- An accredited qualification (depending on the course you choose) to help you gain successful employment. We also help with CV preparation, covering letter, interview techniques, presentation techniques confidence building
- Flexible learning in a friendly and supportive environment
- Review procedures, such as tutorials, action plans, monitoring and assessing your progress and skills
Our courses provide you with exams leading to widely accepted certificates in subjects that will help you find secure and rewarding employment. The certificate provided to you upon successful completion of the course will show employers the level of skills you have. Some of our courses are designed for those who are already working, and help in skills enhancement gives them an edge over their colleagues.
We are sensitive to the wishes and requirements of everybody with:
- women-only training sessions that are run at convenient hours as required
- crèche facility on a case-to-case basis
- toilets on all floors for the physically challenged
- lifts for those who can’t use the stairs
- CCTV cameras installed for enhanced 24-hour security
- culturally and socially sensitive programmes considering learner needs
None, unless specifically stated in the course information. Many of our courses are designed for those who want to improve their English and numeracy skills, and hence require no previous experience. You only need willingness and interest to learn.
We train you in soft skills (CV writing, covering letter, interview techniques and etiquette) that will help raise your confidence, improving your employment chances. We can also help you prepare for an interview for a job you have applied for while on one of our projects.
