Start your journey with this ECDL Entry Level 3 course in London. Learn the complete basics of using a computer – from how to use the keyboard and mouse, to sending emails online and using files. Gain expert tuition with full access to hands-on lab facilities (where applicable). This short course is ideal for those who have never used a computer before or wish to start from the basics.
Also known as BCS Entry Level Award in Computer and Online Basics, this is the first of four stages leading to a full ECDL qualification – the other three stages are ECDL Essentials, ECDL Extra and ECDL Advanced.
The ECDL certificate (European Computer Driving License), is a globally recognised ICT and digital literacy certification. According to ECDL Foundation – the non-profit organisation that provides the qualification – the ECDL certification is recognised and supported by governments, computer societies, international organisations and commercial corporations.
Through five clear, structured sections, learners will cover:
- Computer Basics – understanding the basic computer parts and terminology, and how to use the computer, keyboard and mouse
- Introduction to the Desktop
- Introduction to Documents
- The World Wide Web
You will be learning the following modules on the ECDL course:
- Computer Basics
- Online Basics
Per module, you will begin by learning via the online BCS Mosaic learning system. After completing the online material, you will complete an online BCS examination. This process repeats for each module on the course and allows for a thorough evaluation of your skills and knowledge as you progress to achieving your final qualification and certification.
You will receive a certificate from BCS confirming you have passed the qualification, once you have passed both exams. This will arrive within a month or so and you will be contacted to collect your certificate from our centre.
